Until I started to call the shots!
As with any story you generally begin by reading a preface. I am going to begin by giving you a synopsis. I'm not sure about you but I generally read the synopsis of a book to see if it interests me before I read it. While I hope that you all will stick around to read my journey, I understand if you don't. I'd like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read. After debating for many years I have finally decided that it is time for me to start telling my story. There will be laughter, tears, anger and pity as I go back over the years. Please feel free to join me in all these emotions. You may see current updates but I am hoping to just tell my story.
I have been a USAF Spouse for the last 14 years. While I haven't lived the complete lifestyle of a spouse for the last 5 years I still have many experiences to share. Going from being a friend to the enlisted to becoming married to the military. This is not a lifestyle for all and many don't survive the first few years. Just when you thought you had seen and heard it all, you came across my blog. You will encounter stories of partying, family life, deployments, volunteering, becoming the anti-christ, ups and downs and separation. I have been the friend that some had and many loathed. I have been the "poster" spouse. I have been the example of both the good spouse and the bad spouse. I have been liked, loved, hated, loathed. I have been the neighbor everyone wants and I have been the worst neighbor in Military housing. I have seen the good, the bad, the ugly and the fake of the AF life. I have made friends, lost friends, made acquaintances, had acquaintaces turn into friends, made enemies and kept enemies closer. In a nutshell, I'm the outspoken spouse that other spouses wish they could be but the active duty despise.
From a dream come true to your worst nightmare.
Let's all buckle up and enjoy the ride as I tell my journey.
**a note about my writing style - I may or may not write often. I have 14 years of military life to tell. This may not come in chronological order. I write what is on my mind at the time.
***I will not name real names to prevent any chance of unsolicited drama. Many of those that know me will be a part of my story. Consider yourself warned.
